Mantinga’s sustainability journey has gained momentum. It might be bold to say that—there is always room to grow and improve—but that is genuinely how it feels within the organization. In 2024, we experienced a lot of stability in the area of sustainability, and with greater clarity comes the ambition to achieve even more. In terms of sales and production, these were record-breaking years. Some sustainability indicators are directly linked to production volume—the more we produce, the higher the figures for resources, raw materials, and waste. Nevertheless, we managed to maintain many indicators and even improve some of them.

A few key figures:

• We saved significant amounts of natural gas, electricity, and fresh water.
• Total waste was reduced by 2.4%, and food waste by 2.5%.
• Over the year, we saved 13.8 tons of packaging raw materials.
• Achieved the highest employee participation rate in the workplace climate survey to date (69%), with results showing that most employees feel engaged, empowered, and satisfied with their work.
• Last year, we formalized the general Code of Ethics, Supplier Code of Ethics, as well as anti-corruption and equal opportunities policies.
• The total value of donations and support over the year exceeded €500,000.
