Sustainability is one of the strategic priorities of Mantinga. One of the established sustainability goals is to become a climate-neutral (carbon neutral) business, reducing the CO2 footprint left behind. Among other steps being implemented, priority is given to hybrid cars when choosing passenger cars, so there is a growing need to be able to charge these cars near the office. Upon receiving funding from EU funds, this need will soon be fulfilled – charging stations for electric vehicles will soon be installed in the territory of Mantinga.

The company was encouraged to install electric vehicle charging stations by the opportunity to receive support from the joint project "Installation of Private Electric Vehicle Charging Points" after submitting an application to the Lithuanian Energy Agency in accordance with the published call "Installation of Private Electric Vehicle Charging Points for Legal Entities at Workplaces". The amount of support received is slightly more than EUR 2,800.

Charging stations are planned to be installed near the central office of Mantinga by the end of summer this year. According to the planned project, two charging stations for electric vehicles will be installed, each of them will have two charging access points.

In order to reduce the environmental impact of Mantinga, it is also planned to purchase three plug-in hybrid cars, which will contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the EU project. One of the cars is planned to be delivered in the spring of this year, the other two – at the beginning of 2024.

The company is already implementing a number of measures to reduce the CO2 footprint: ECO blocks make use of the heat released during production, electricity generated from 100% renewable resources is used, production processes are becoming more and more efficient, the installation of an energy twin is close to completion, etc. This project is another step forward in achieving the set objective. As a responsible business, Mantinga is constantly moving towards sustainability and with its decisions contributes to Europe's ambition in becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.
